Cast bullets for .32 Special?

Post by Bill in Oregon »

A guy on another forum suggested the Oregon Trail Lasercast 170s and a load of Trail Boss as a great plinking load in this caliber. Anyone else have a favorite easy-shooting load for plinking and small game in the .32 Special?

Bill, I've had good results using 16grs. of All.2400 under the RCBS 32 -170 cast bullet.Nice mild load and happy with the accuracy out to 50 yds.Barrel on my Win 94 doesn't over heat from long strings of shooting.Although using this cast bullet, the bullet is slightly engraved from the lands.Good luck with the laser cast bullet and let us know how it works out for you.

I shoot Trail Boss and 2400 in my .32 Win. Sp. under 170 gr. cast bullets.
Either Lyman or RCBS mold designs work well in mine. I also have an NEI
mold for PB .32 bullets that work well.

About 14-15 gr. 2400 or 6-7 gr. Trail Boss will make an accurate soft
target load.

Have fun!
