Gun Control is Hitting the Target.
The second amendment is so we can protect our freedoms from an oppressive government. I own both hunting rifles and what is termed assault rifles. I keep going to Camp Perry shooting those assault rifle trying to put a hole through a piece of paper. When I was in high school, my gun club gace us trainign and ammo to punch holes through pieces of paper. Now I live in eastern Ohio, I hunt different animals some are varmits and some join my food chain. The varmits I take out with an AR 15 HBAR NM or my M1A Super Match. The state of Ohio makes me use a shot gun for deer hunting during part of the season, otherwise I use my 44 Mag or muzzle loaders.
I have carried concealed with and without permits for many years. As the lady said I would rather be in jail and have my aprents alive that the way it played out.

testimony
If any "authority" type persons on the planet couldn't look at, and listen to this fine young woman, and determine that here sits a very informed and decent human being, (not some crack-pot, not some so called "gun nut) but rather someone who knows what she is talking about because she has lived her testimony, witnessed her testimony in real life, and has first hand experience, then they are a pathetic part of what is wrong with our so called "RULERS". They are out of touch, and they don't even want to hear the facts. From the looks on that arrogant and smart-alec Schumer, it just infuriates me to the point that I wish I could be there and walk up and slap his face clear off his head. What a pitiful excuse of a man to fill his office of responsibility.
To hell with them fellas, buzzards gotta eat same as the worms.

The rulers know that firearms represent a free citizen, not a serf. Thus, those who would want to control every aspect of our lives - to force first socialism then communism upon us - know they must strip us of both our ability to fight back, but also our will to be free individuals.

Our Founding Fathers knew to keep men free they had to make sure any govt
they created would recognize YOUR birth right to speak your mind and defend
YOURSELF, your privacy, and the ideas that created our nation.
GUN CONTROL as I see is the struggle between free men and an over zealous
government to CONTROL GUNS.
Who should have control over guns? It was written and recognized who should, FREE MEN.
Every time I look around my speech, my privacy, and my right to arms is
being poked and prodded looking for a weakness to be exploited.

Jeeps, that weakness they are trying to exploit is our age. The anti's feel that if they can make it harder and harder for people to enjoy their rights, fewer people will start or stay with the right to begin with. This is what all the attacks on gun shows are about - as well as the attacks on ammunition, ranges, hunting, etc. Their hope is that this freedom dies with us - and that we don't pass it along to another generation willing to fight for it.Jeeps wrote: Every time I look around my speech, my privacy, and my right to arms is

We all need to do our part - and one of the best things we all can do is personally make it our mission to teach youngsters - yours and others - about our rights and introduce them to the various aspects of firearms. People will only defend what they know and care about. We need to make sure they know this right and care about it!
YK, I ran across this article today that kind of provides some education for those who don't understand the intent of the 2nd Amendment.
