Big thanks to Vall. I was recently looking at a Ballard and a refinish 93 and Vall was big time helpful in properly evaluating these rifles. He also helped me properly identify a Marlin Marauder some time ago. 1886.
I'm right with you pard. Marlinman93 has helped me countless times.
I'm still honored to be shooting his old 1893 Marlin .38-55, in fact will be using it in the match tomorrow. I won the last 2 matches with it, I do my part but that rifle GOT ME OVER THE TOP!!!
Mention Ballard or old Marlins, and Vall is right there to help you. What a great mentor going back to the old MARLIN TALK days!
Shout out here too...
I have purchased a Hepburn, a Ballard Pacific, and a Marlin 1881, with much guidance and input from Mr. Miller. Not to mention COUNTLESS firearms I passed on based on his advice.
He is a top notch member of the wonderful firearms community.

Me neither. Wonderfully helpful & generous gentleman IMNSHO.
His facts and information have helped me out on more than one occasion.
A remarkable amount of leveraction knowledge in his head!
A tip o' my hat, to Marlinman93
