Cool. Or,maybe, cold. Hope you have a lot of fun with them when the ice gets thick enough.

Good looking skates! I did a little ice skating but never got the ankles strong enough to really enjoy it. I might have done better with skates like those.

Thanks, i made the blade low so the ankle couldn`t twist as far.
I think we`ll flood a spot in the yard for a small rink instead of going to the lake. more private when us old fools try this out.

Pitchy, I'll look forward to seeing a video of you and your wife skating trying out those skates later this winter. They look more comfortable than the bought skates that kill my feet.

Frankly, any/all of those are more practical than built-in laceups.
Ditto for rollerskates.
Never cottoned to the idea of special shoes unless you were "pro" at whatever...

I can see it now: Pitchy builds the world's first walker with ice skates on all four contact points. No more broken tailbones! It has a couple of arrows sticking out of it and it can be converted to a mechanical can crusher ...

Good job Bro. Interesting tid bit. My wife, being Dutch, told me that they never heard of Hans Brinker and the silver skates. It is an American only story. Blew my mind. Then I asked if the little boy realy stuck his finger in the dyke? She said no, the dyke would never allow that.

I can see that the future of ice-skating will never be the same! I know what toe-loops and axels are... but, what do they call old folks fallin' down, besides broken bones?
Be careful, and enjoy!

Ya know that lariat i posted about throwing a while back. Well i`m gonna lasso a big buck by the horns and have him pull me down the road at turdy mph.
And after i break him down a bit doing that i might just ride him home.

Got another pair today, these are German made and are very heavy duty. They are adjustable for length and have teeth on the jaws.

Man! That's a neat looking skate. Looks like they mean business. You know, it never entered my mind there would be so many skate manufacturers. I might have to wait a long time for the lakes to freeze over with ice thick enough to skate on!

Gene your right, might be a while before your skating in East TX
Pete, hadn`t planned on sharpening them, the ones i made got the side grinder treatment.
