Range Photo (No Levers)

Post by Paladin »

For the first time in years I got to go to the range to just play. Thought you might like to see what toys ended up there. I just brought two handguns and a rifle in a military (Russian) caliber to play with (Work toys). A couple of friends brought the rest of the toys. Had a great afternoon burning a few belts of ammo.

Time at the range is good, especially when you are playing rather than working! :D :D :D

Some of the toys that showed up MG-34, SIG AMT, Sig P-2, Heavy barrel FN, SR-25, AK SBR, AR Designated Marksman Rifle, 5.45x39 AR, 12in Saiga 12GA, and a couple pistols. Only four of them were full auto so didn’t need that much ammo.

Look like a great time at the range!!!

How did that 5.45x39 shoot in the AR platform? What kind of accuracy did you get from it?

I have a 5.45x39 in the AK platform and don't really get great accuracy at 100 yards. Maybe best 3 round group 5 inches. I need to try some different ammo also. But i am very interested in the AR platform.

Thanks,
Steve

I got lucky and ended up with an Alexander Arms 5.45 upper and the thing shoots as good or better than most 5.56s. The round is devastating on meat shots the round acts like the old M193 out of a XM177E2 the way it tumbles.
Having it mounted on a LMT lower doesn’t hurt either.
