Ranch Dog molds make SWEET bullets, photos
Finaly got time to try out my new Ranch Dog (Lee) molds today. They cast a sweet looking bullet. Cant wait to get to the range.
These were cast of 30:1 alloy with all Virgin metals.
Usualy people will use a coin in the photo to gain perspective for scale.
How does someone on the other side of the planet know what size a U.S. dime or quarter is? So I used a coin that had Hitler won we all would have been familiar with.
300gr RD .460 bullet cast of 30:1
350gr RD bullet cast of 30:1
Why not use other things in the photo and use the bullet for perspective?
or
I will shoot these in my 444 Marlin and my .45-70 Marlin cowboy using
Trail Boss at about 1100/1150 fps for a plinking load. FUN !!!

Those are almost too pretty to shoot. I have both the 350 gr. and 425 gr. molds for the .45-70 and really like both of them. RD does one heck of a job! Three days ago I signed-up for the 165gr. mold group buy for the .30-30 and can't wait! DerekD, go ahead and jump in the pool so the order can get placed. The last time I looked the count was up to 18 and 25 is needed for the order.
I also just got word that another group buy for a 113 gr. soupcan .30-30 just came in and should be shipped out within the next week or two. While not a Ranch Dog it is based on Junior's design and this one should be a hoot!
