I need computor help...please

Post by Charles »

That dern computor is doing something I have never seen before. I can't get numbers or lower case symbols. When I use the "cap lock", I can get UPPER and lower case letters, but on the numbers and symbols, just lower case. No the num lock is not on, and no the cap lock is not on, and I have turned the computor off and rebooted.. What that????????

Tryy another keyboard if you have one.

Or reboot several times, sometimes Windows needs to get it;s brains
re configured,

Or reload the keyboard driver,

If other than Micro soft keyboard, May need special driver.

Will need more info, if you still need more help,,,

Keyboard type/ model, windows version, do you have the computer software ? etc.

Sometimes if you press and hold shift, etc, you activate a short cut of some kind........

I think what Tubby says is probably it. It's called "Sticky Keys" and is turned on by pressing shift 5 times in a row.

Charles, go to the Ease of Access Center and make sure this is off.
