And the fit and finish and quality are exactly as expected = very good
Rides very nice on the hip and the butt is held close to your side -the way I like it. Came pretty quick too - considering that they make these to order - 2 1/2 weeks.
Jr. was looking for an El Passo holster a while back and somehow found one at Cheaper than dirt and ready for immediate shipment. Never did figure that out. He got the same style, Tom Threepersons but I don't think his has the thumbreak. I think I like yours better. It goes perfect with that M10.
Congratulations!

It's easier to fool people than it is to convince them they have been fooled.
Thats a good lookin holster elpaso saddlery always make good stuff. I have been making custom holsters and saddles for 30 years and i have never put any of my pistols in nylon and never will.
Nice rig there. Being an OLD police type, I still had my early rig from the old days. A Don Hume Jordan Border Patrol holster and a Sam Brown belt. Now that's old school! Too bad I can't do pictures. First off I still don't know how to do that here, and second I have no digital camera!
But I like that holster you have there. Carried a similar one when I was in the detective office back before they FORCED us to go autoloader!
Both are well chosen. I dig the S&W .38 Special K frames and really like the El Paso stuff. I've never been disappointed with those choices!

Thanks. I've got those on three revolvers. They make shooting heavier loads in the 44 Special very comfortable and help keep my hand placed correctly for shooting all loads.
O.S.O.K. -- How about some more pictrues of the holster (rear, side, top, etc.) and how about some pictures of the gun itself. Is it a Heavy Barrel? What grips are those and where'd you get them?

Those of us who make holsters can see any little Boo Bo`s that may not be seen by others. That is a very nicely done rig.
It will last you for many a year!
Thanks for the compliments. Modoc- the grips are Eagle classic grips. Here's a pic of the gun - S&W Model 10-10 recently purchased from Bud's Gun Shop:
If you go to http://www.epsaddlery.com they have some more pics - its got a forward cant and a simple slide for the belt.
Win709 - I have a cartridge holder (pick box) with snap closure from EPS too - it's sized for 44 Specials but the 38's will fit fine too.
You're welcome - they have some other really nice grips there too... some similar to these but with symetrical sides for instance. I like the way the right side swell (I'm right handed) places my trigger finger though. And the contour of the left side allows for the use of a speedloader if you choose - the symetrical version not so much I guess...
I thought that too until I learned that it was manufactured in 1996 - the year that they started using those... This revolver isn't that old... it came to the US via Australia - traded in by a police department that was switching to S&W M&P 9mm's. They had 2" and 2 1/2" IIRC versions too but destroyed them! Stupid liberal thinking - to keep them from getting into the "wrong" hands.
