Mine consists of two sporting good related accomplishments for 2012.
1. Completing the changeover to all vintage Woolrich and Filson hunting wear.
2. Buying a “vintage” Randall hunting knife. (Still researching the model I want)

This is a big one for me too ----
I am in the middle of building a house -- once it is done, the wife wants new furniture for several rooms (I dont blame her there)
--- that means i am going to have to allocate my "toy funds" in the order of greatest need --
sadly - i don't really need anything. Except a 7.5" barrel New Frontier in .45 Colt -- i need one of those
But in addition to the passel of old leverguns i always want to add to the safe, i am currently angling to buy an Ar 50 locally that has come up for sale at a decent price -- it is kind of a "strike while the iron is hot" type of deal , but under the circumstances , it may be the only thing i add this coming year (most people would say that that would be quite enough though, when you consider how much it costs to get set up reloading for those beasts )

The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are just about done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....

Howdy,
Just a couple of items:
A Henry 45-70 (When they come around)
A Kel-Tec PMR-30 (When they come around)
Of course, there're other items that come around that I don't know yet that I need!!
One more thing, I just gotta get up to visit Pitchy. I'm only 40 or so miles south of him....
Happy New Year everybody...

I 'want' to win Powerball but that's not likely so as far as firearms, I'd love to have a 24" Uberti Special Sporting rifle in 357mag but it's not likely that I'll have the resources this coming year. Oh well, one can dream.

I want them to figure out if positrons really go back in time, if neutrinos go faster than light, if there really are six more dimensions that just didn't expand with the 3 we have, if there is this Higgs Boson,,, oh - and a Sport Model UFO - you know that 36' disc one that can do 6000 mph here. Firearms decisions are still up in the air.

a SAA clone in 45 colt
and the 1923 vintage winchester 94 with the 26 inch round barrel in 38-55 that some guy brought into LGS on Christmas Eve, no it wasn't for sale. Yeah I got his number and yes I do have an extra Garand.
a Pennsylvanian who has been accused of clinging to my religion and my guns......Good assessment skills.
Firearms related:
Winchester model 94 rifle with an octagon barrel.
Winchester model 64
Winchester model 63 (My dad had one and I always wanted to get one.)
Other related:
That the economy would turn around.
That men would replace hate and envy with love for their fellow men.
I guess it would have to be a 1st Gen Colt SAA -any cal- to go with My 2nd & 3rd Gen. Then all the old Winchesters I can muster. Oh and a B-92 357.

Well, I already got one gift.....Barney Frank (My Congressman) won't run again in 2012!
I want to add to the collection:
1866 Winchester in 45LC............
1886 Winchester (Browning) in 45-70.................
(2) 1858 Remingtons with 5.5" barrels with conversion cylinders to 45LC.......(Opps, I just got them for Christmas!)

Perry, you ever give a though about an original model 92?
For not much more in price you can have a made in the USA
real McCoy 38WCF. I'm actually giving this some thought myself

I've been wanting one of those Taurus 992's with the inter-changeable .22WMR and .22LR cylinders, but I've also been looking into the Colt 1911-22's and those new Browning downsized 1911 style 22's.
Can't think of a new lever-gun that I'm wishing for. Need to work on my .356Win re-loads, and several others after that.
I just decided that I need a new chronograph.
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.
I am working on finishing my pilots license for future missions work. That would be the first step. Then go on and get the instrument rating and twin engine certs. This list may spill into next year. then purchase the plane and get it outfitted. Then.....?

Well, the Lord has blessed me this year. Passed the academy entrance exams and have ben accepted into the academy.
So, based one that . . .
Completion of my up coming police academy.
Job with one of the larger police forces here.
Lastly as far as firearms go, I'd like a nice bird gun. I'm currently eyeing a Ithaca Featherlight in 20 gauge. A colt 1911 with picatany rail would be nice as well, but I'll settle for the bird gun.

Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes.
1. A new carry pistol. Either a Ruger SR1911 or a Springfield XDM.
2. A gun safe
3. More free time and money to go on the hunts I want and finish my unfinished projects.
