Love your new acquisition. I for one, don't think people give the .45 acp the credit it deserves. In a pistol like that, it should be accurate, powerful, and easy on the wrists.
It's funny how most everyone wants the power of the .45 acp in a CCW pistol, but it's largely ignored for other field use. I guess everyone thinks it's not effective enough out to 50 yards. Everyone that is, except the axis soldiers in WWII.
Great gun there, you will love it. Cowboytutt has one similar but without the 45 ACP Cylinder. That ACP cylinder really adds to the versatility in my opinion. I had a 45 convertible Ruger - great combo. You can load it from mild to wild.

I bought a Bisley .45 the first year they came out.still have it. In my humble opinion there is no more versitle factory revolver than the one you have. . Jim.

Nath.
The moon clips are only needed for EJECTION of the ACP brass in DA revolvers. In the SA revolver you punch it out just like with a rimmed case. I recently picked up one of those neat .45 ACP DAs.
It IS cool.

I have an Ol' Three Screw Blackhawk with the 45 ACP cylinder. We always use it when we take the Boy Scouts out to shoot. The Lil 45 is easy for them to handle.

MY Ruger BIsley in 45 colt was made when there was only one barrel length. I had to have mine cut down to 5.5Inches. INHO it is the best all around length for carrying .
I wish I could have got one with the 45 ACP cylinder It woud make it much more versatile YOurs is a beaut

When I still had my Casull, I could hit an 18" gong at 185yds offhand with my .45acp cylinder 4 out of 5 shots.
Had about a 2.5sec lag time, but it would do it.
IMO an ACP cylinder is about as much fun out of a .452 as you can have.
