I don't reload the .32 WS. However, I use RCBS for the .30 WCF and have, with perfect satisfaction, for many years. I load cast and jacketed.

I use Lee dies for both cartridges, with the addition of the Lyman "M" die. I especially like the setup for the 30 wcf where I nearly always use the collet neck size die (that you get with the "deluxe" die set, or you can buy separately) followed by the Lyman "M" expanding die. This works especially well with cast bullets because the low pressures of those loads result in hardly ever needing to full-length size, using the collet die eliminates any need for lube, and then the "M" die opens up the mouth of the case to nicely start the cast bullet without any shaving.
The only thing that messes up this plan is when I have to be prepared to load for something other than my Marlin 30, so have to full-length size so the round will go into other rifles.
With my 32 spcl I don't anticipate loading a lot of rounds and haven't acquired anything but the basic 2-die set for it so far.

Ditto. I have 2 sets. One from the early '70s and one newer set. Virtually unchanged except for the methood to set the locking rings in place.Hobie wrote:I don't reload the .32 WS. However, I use RCBS for the .30 WCF and have, with perfect satisfaction, for many years. I load cast and jacketed.

Most of my dies are lee only because that is what I can get easily locally. I have used RCBS and Hornady on different calibers and haven't noticed any difference. I do not load cast so maybe a different thing all together with that kind of bullet.

All my reloading dies are Lyman. 30-30, 32WS, 45Colt, 45-70, 45ACP, 9mm, 357, 30-06, 44-40, 38-55, 30Carbine, I think thats it.
Re: What dies do you use to reload 30 WCF and 32 WS?
I don't load for 32 Special, but got started on the 30-30 a long time ago, and still have the RCBS dies that I began with. I've since used some Lee dies, and for sure a Lyman M die when loading cast bullets. I've mostly used RCBS for everything.
Re: What dies do you use to reload 30 WCF and 32 WS?
Dont have a 32 but I use Lee dies for 90% on my loading.
Re: What dies do you use to reload 30 WCF and 32 WS?

RCBS. I have two sets from the mid 70s. They work just fine.

I use Lee dies for the 30/30. I love the Factory Crimp Die. I don't reload a large volume of .32 WS so I use a Lee Loader. I can crimp with the FCD from my 30/30 dies if I want.

I use RCBS dies for both. Both sets are well over 20 years old.

RCBS for both.
Re: What dies do you use to reload 30 WCF and 32 WS?
Lyman and Lee. Despite the fact that I live not far from RCBS I do not like their products. I do own 20-25 RCBS sets but they have broken on several occasions which led to me purchasing extra pins and decapping rods. No such thing as being warranted forever. Many loader swear by them, but I swear at them.

What's the difference between the RCBS regular dies and the cowboy dies?

The CB dies are case hardened so they look cool & they include a fancy stepped expander thats great for cast bullets. I use them in most calibers I use cast bullets in. The closest thing I can compare it to is the Lyman "M" expander.

RCBS and Lyman 310. The M expanding die in the 310 tool is good for cast loads.

Re: What dies do you use to reload 30 WCF and 32 WS?
The 32 special from Lee is the only Lee die that I noticed a problem with. The full length sizing die decapping pin was a little over sized. If you did not have the decapping pin nut cranked down tight, when resizing the decapping pin would get pulled out of the die on the return stroke. I use my 30-30 fcd on the 32 special and it works great. 30-30 dies are Lee.
