Thanks John, looks real nice 8) i`m good with the short tube for now what i do need is a new butt pad. I think i`ll make a wood one from burl oak or something real grainy.

Thanks for the compliment Pitchy. I usually don't post much because I have only a fraction of the wealth of knowledge that most here have about leverguns. So I just lurk and try to study and learn from the best, you included. For instance, I had no idea that it is possible to fashion a butt pad from wood! But if it can be done, I know you can do it. I just want to see pictures when you are done.

Awe heck ya don`t gotta know nuttin to post here, i don`t know much and they haven`t kicked me off yet. :shock: :lol:
I`m going to experiment with a wood pad tomorrow and post a picture if i come up with somethin presentable.
