Uberti customer service............UGH!

Here is an email I sent to Uberti:

'My local gun shop is trying to get a Uberti 1873 for me but can't find the distributor. Who
distributes Uberti in New Endland?'


Here is the reply I just received:

Thank you for contacting Benelli USA/Stoeger Industries. Unfortunately we can not export out of the United States, but you can contact Stoeger Canada @ 905-436-9077 and they will be able to assist you.

Sadly the teaching of geography in schools today is lacking. I'd fire them back a phone call and get hold of a supervisor then tell them just how uneducated their customer service reps are.

I sent them an email suggesting it must be early in the AM..........

They responded very apologetically and supplied the info I needed.

I give them high marks for customer support.............low marks for reading comprehension......

BTW, Buffalo Arms seems to have a lot of Uberti stuff. I couldn't say if they are a distributor, though.

I can tell you though, Uberti rifles are very hard to get right now. You can try to find one somewhere like Taylors and Co, Cimarron, etc and have them ship it to your local gun shop.

You know Guys, it's entirely possible that this person had a stack of
emails and simply misread the question.

Why beat someone up for a simple mistake if you don't
know for sure if it was or not?

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for bustin' on stupid people but I know I've
misread a few messages.

When I lived up in Michigan during the early '90's the news shows would do a story every year around graduation time on high school seniors in the Detroit schools. About 75% of them could not find the USA on an unmarked world map, and could not find Michigan - you know, their home state and the one that looks like a glove - on an unmarked map of the USA.
