Finished the pendulum wheel today, had to wait for the red oak to dry a little before i could put the polly on it.
That red oak really shows the grain, thought ya might like to see it done.

Pitchy that is really cool. I was wondering - do you mill your own lumber for these projects?
Do you make the outside groove on the wheel on a router table?
Thanks gents, Joe that hole goes all the way through, kinda cool.
Paul best thing to do is do a search on U-Tube on pendulum spinning wheel .
I do have another thread here showing me spinning on it.
octagon, yep saw out my own lumber, which is exactally what i`m going to do this morn. Found a big dead pine tree we`re going to saw into some lumber for the next one.
I grind the groove in with the edge of the blade in my side grinder.
I`m thinking about building the mother of all spinners the spinning Jenny.
