Can some one help with date?

I picked up a m94, and one site says 1941 one says 1938 can anyone confirm?

ser# 1177xxx

Take a look at the flat on the barrel. Remove forearm, and mag tube. On the flat part of the barrel the last 2 digits of the year of the barrel should be stamped. That at least will get you in the ball park.

Thanks iceman good info, I think I asked a loaded question. I am going sell the carbine and just wanted to get it right. :)
