Arrived in Honolulu yesterday at 7pm, the neanderthal (even a caveman CAN'T do it) American Airlines baggage monkeys had ripped the handles off my new Cabelas soft cooler but the contents were intact. Opened the gun case to make sure rifles were there, yup, and no new damage since last flight. Black Buck meat is in the freezer, and I have Texas Chili powder to combine it with. I would say good to be home but this house, this island just not where my heart is, Maui hasn't let go of it yet.

My Texas Safari was an unforgettable once in a lifetime experience. I can't thank enough all of you here that made it all possible. I'd like to especially thank Joe & Richard for there hospitality, and professionalism always making sure everyone was happy, and to Ricky for doing all the running around and getting me there in the first place, he is a gentleman and a scholar to say the least. It was great to finally meet Tycer, PaPabear, Piller, as well as Mike Rintoul, Terry Barlow, and Link and Andy. It was great to see young Andy's excitement at his first big game hunt.

Even got to see THE ALAMO in person, do the San Antonio River Tour, and try bull-riding TWICE in one night! Image
(Thanks, Richard & Joe)

The company was first rate, and I don't remember laughing so much in such a long time, it was fun to say the least.
I can write down a thousand words but it would still not be enough to express the gratitude and joy I experienced spending time and getting to know you gentlemen, I feel I have made new friendships which will last a lifetime.

Here's just a few pictures. Those participants of the Texas Safari please send me your email address so I can forward you my picture album of this trip.

It was an honor and a privilege to get to meet and get to know you all. As we say say in the islands: MAHALO A NUI LOA ALOHA A HUI HOU!

Bill aka PaPaBear displayed his expertise at milking Heffers while we toured the Rodeo grounds. "No Heffer too Large" was Bill's motto that night...

On a $13.00 bet I showed these Texas boys that a Hawaiian Paniolo Cowboy could ride a bull with the best of them...

After showing these Texans how to REALLY ride a bull I was feeling REAL cocky and upped the challenge by next taking on the raging bull "Mudslinger" this time for 50 cents! Yippee Ka Yay!

Ji,

Glad you had a great time. Glad all the guys there had a great time.

Looks like bull riding is right up your alley. Maybe a rodeo career is for you.

Really good to see a good time was had by all. I'd sure hate to run into the bull that runs with that heifer.

Ganjiro the Paniolo. Just might start a new career for ya, huh, Ganjiro?

The photos are great and now you all probably realize why I take such time and am so fussy about the photo set ups. So far I have been spared from any candid shots, but I fear that will come to an end soon! This was a very enjoyable trip with 3 very deserving individuals and a cast of outstanding supporting actors.

Ji - I spoke to Cabelas about your cooler. If the airlines won't pay for full replacement, call the Outfitter and Booking Agency Customer Service Center at Cabelas 1-800-237-8888. If you tell them I recommended the cooler they'll replace it for you. I hope that helps!

Aloha Joe, do I tell them I spoke to you? Do they know you and expect my call? Hopefully the airlines will resolve this though the Honolulu crew were less than useless.
