That's a nice looking lever you got there. If it shoots as good as it looks you'll have a winner.

2ndovc,
It looks like that barrel is not marked Winchester 94AE. Am I seeing right?
My 85 vintage Trapper is marked with the AE after the model number.
I like that rifle, let us know how it shoots.

Cool rear sight...! Another thread someone was posting about pros (mostly cons) of an aperture sight up front on the barrel like that. Personally, I like them better than the open type, even up front on the barrel.

I dont see the A.E. either but the reciever looks to have the cut on the side for A.E. Let us know how the rear sight works for you been thinking about putting one on my trapper for a while now.
I like the color on the reciever

Is that rear sight homemade, or does someone know where to buy those?

Very nice!
I for one wish all Winchesters came with an octagon barrel. We lost something by going to the round barrel.

That is the same thing I noticed. Mine is marked exactly like your. Now I am really curious. Can it be just the vintage?

Good looking rifle in a great caliber, and yes I want to know about that rear sight too.

Thanks for the comments guys! I couldn't wait to get this one. Sometimes you see something and you just have to have it.
It is an AE but not marked that way. I have seen others that weren't marked.
It's got to be pretty late mfg. with the tang safety.
The Rear sight is different, comes on target very quickly. Frank S. the previous owner told me he put the One Hole sight but never got around to firing it. If it's been fired it wasn't much.
I don't care if it's 5 below and blowin' 40 this weekend. I've got a 50 cal ammo can full of 45 Colts and I'm goin shooting!!
