30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres
250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!
Sheesh that's a tuff one, but for the quiet part the h&r about has to take the lead as you can load it way down with stuff like trailboss and bullseye, and you can also shoot 32 shorts thru it..
I guess that I would go for a 327H&R a little longer if they make it yet. In the TC you could load hot or lite. The 32H&R may soon be a run every year or so of brass. No current guns manufactured for the round.
The 32-20 in the TC last I read was .308 not .314 for a wider selection of bullets for silhouette shooting. Not a bad thing just throwing it out there for information. If I had another 308 and
and no H&Rs I would get it so I could have more uses for the molds. Yep I cast so that is a consideration for me. Well maybe not I had a TC and it seems like the barrels cross breed in the safe.
Maybe you should get all three.

The PROBLEM solved itself, was going thru the Owatonna Cabela's and in the 2nd rack i went thru was a childhood rifle I shoulda never sold, an H+R Topper model 158 in 30/30 for $149. Dont have to buy new dies, brass, molds and bullets. Jus hafta make up a couple of Lee 113gr and 200 gr loads that shoot to same point of impact
