I would really like a DETACHABLE tubular magazine that would be removeable when still loaded; it would make using a levergun easier when stalk-hunting and having to cross roads, or if you want to use a levergun as a 'truck gun' and have it rapidly loadable to full capacity, yet legal (at least in our state, a long gun isn't allowed to be 'loaded' in a vehicle).
Plus, you could have a second magazine full of different loads if you were so inclined.

Rossi's dual magazine system they use on the .454 and .480 would be a dandy candidate for that. All you need is some sort of release device down at the base of the magazine in the receiver that would open and close the end of the tube as it's inserted and removed.
Perhaps a phone call to NKJ or Mic McPherson?
