What Hobie said! I noticed elsewhere was a 94 supposedly of stainless steel... Wha'd PT Barnum say? He was right... and there's always someone for the opportunity for them to prove it!

No I ain't ready, but let's do it anyway!
Well guys this gun first posted at $250.
I rang the owner and he said "no, there has been a mistake and it is $250 000."
He has a story of it being made in another plant and only 15 being made before it burned down.
To tell you the truth I was still in shock at the price and only half listened to his story.
If you check used guns the same bloke has a couple of commemerative Winchesters listed at huge prices also.
I saved the best till last - he has two of these super special 1894's.
Any truth in the story about Winchester manufacturing in a different plant for a short time?
Haven't you guys heard about the secret manufacturing plant Winchester had in Japan during WW II? Because Winchester had to convert it's US plants for the war effort they had the Japanese plant produce exact replicas and sneak them over in subs. The plant is the one we now know as Miroku. They can be distinguished by the flat barrel bands. Proof? Well Winchester has no records for those serial numbers cos they didn't make 'em in the US.
