336BL Couldn't stop myself

I got a 30-30 big lever with the laminate stock 18 1/2" today very nice, but of course, it does weigh a ton and the stock dimensions are quite large for a short carbine, marlin is marlin i guess. I am waiting for the temp too get out of the 10 degree range to shoot it. I am wondering if there are after market socks for this model. I looked at some and they said for barrel band type, this has the small metal end cap, like the bargain model A I think. Anyway it has a very nice smooth action with good trigger pull. I will post again after she has been out too bark.

It is on my list of want to buy firearms, I like the laminate and the big loop. I have a Henry big loop carbine and with my large hands it is easier to use than my 94's with the standard lever. Let us know how you like it after you shoot it. God Bless.
