My BIL has a 4 digit Winchester 88 in .308 that he wants to sell. The metal is in good shape along with the wood. Problem is "freckling" in the finish. Just about covers the whole stock. This rifle was bought new by his dad but has lived in a guncase for 20-30 years One, is a four digit highly prized and how much will the "freckling affect the value? He's not a shooter or hunter and justs wants to sell. The real horror is what leaving a Colt 6"Python in a soft guncase does to the metal The python is for sale too. The Python dates to the 1950's.
