Criminy, even the ocean couldn't keep California's sickness from spreading.

Bullet Serialization Bill to Be Heard in Hawaii House Judiciary Committee!

Excerpt from article: Contact info in linked page.

Please Contact the House Judiciary Committee Today!

On Friday, February 1, the Hawaii House Judiciary Committee will hear legislation that will have dire consequences for our Right to Keep and Bear Arms in Hawaii. The bill HB2392, would require all handgun ammunition manufactured or sold in Hawaii to be coded with a serialization number, and entered into a statewide database at the time of sale. Encoded ammunition would be registered to the purchaser and would include the date of transaction, the purchaser’s name, date of birth, drivers license number, and the serial number of the ammunition. The possession or sale of non-coded/serialized ammunition would be prohibited.

Appreciate it, thank you. No surprise here, heard about a "Homeland Security class" offered by the Feds here next week talkin' about crisis response and what not, (offered to the general public). Funny/tragic, citizens can't get a carry permit for handgun here but can take a class about "not panicking".

The Democrapic Peoples Republik of Hawaii looks up to, and emulates her big liberal sister Kalipornia to the east. If it's good enough for Kalipornia then it must be twice as good for Hawaii. In recent months there have been 4 murders in Honolulu, 3 were domestic, husbands or lovers killing their mates, 2 used knives, one used a shotgun but he had no ammo so used the butt to bludgeon, and the last was a mentally unstable man throwing his neighbor's toddler off a freeway overpass 30 feet down in to the path of oncoming traffic. There have been several bank robberies these committed with just a note with no firearm in sight. Would a serialized bullet have discouraged or prevented any of these crimes? Hawaii mirrors Kalipornia too with her liberal GOP Governor. Hawaii politicos have always been known to drink the same kool-aid as Kalipornia. The Hawaii Rifle Association will fight this tooth and nail, wish us luck.

I'm sure none of you missed the political significance of this madness.

If a seed can be planted and take root in one place, it can grow.

Take action to crush this thing.

:?
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Wel, fight the good fight, but take heart if the idiots win again: we'll find a way around it.

Cast lead works just as good.

Take that, Pelosi...

Good News- Letter from head of Hawaii Rifle Association:

From: "Maxwell Cooper" <maxwell_cooper@msn.com>

Al, I sent this around to you and others last night, but, if you
haven't already, could you please forward it to our e-mail list? Thanks, Max

HB2392, mandatory bullet engraving, was "deferred indefinitely" at
today's Capitol hearing.
House Judiciary Chair Waters announced at the beginning of testimony
that no testimony in support had been received. Only lots of
testimony in opposition
. He indicated his committee's inclination was
to defer it indefinitely, virtually killing the bill in the House of
Representatives.
HRA thanks the Chair and his Committee members, Rep. Ken Ito, who
expressed concerns with the bill, NRA for their support, and all you
who showed our grass roots so effectively.
The Senate may take note and not waste their time on the issue this
year. But, as Yogi Berra was fond of saying, "It ain't over 'till
it's over!" We have a long 3 1/2 months of the legislative session left.

Mahalo to you all,
Max Cooper and Mark Plischke,
HRA Legislative Co-Chairs

Ganji,

Thank you for your report. This is fraught with problems even from THEIR end. That doesn't stop them from wanting these things. But even these folks when they see the writing on the wall retreat from their own folly. It should be proclaimed who thought this nonsense up.
