Re: Today
I'll always remember my friends from my time served. I'll always be thankful to all those that served. I'm finding that even the young rascals that hated their service time when they were in and now proud of their service.
I think everyone should do a hitch of at least three years.

Re: Today
To those of U who haven't seen this it is awesome-http://www.virtualwall.org/index.html a Friend and fellow Vet sent it to Me last year. U hear about People crying while looking at the Wall and think what a bunch of sissys. Well I cried sitting at My computer when I found the name of a Friend that I went to High school with. I had no Idea He was killed in Vietnam.
Thx to those of U that served. And to those that didn't it's OK as long as U didn't SPIT on the ones returning.
I was drafted, and I always said " I probably wouldn't have joined but I would not trade the experience for anything in the World".

Re: Today
pwl44m, A big thank you goes out to you and all those who have served or are serving our counrty, I wouldn't exactely call people looking at a wall a bunch sissys. In fact the only time I ever saw my father who was a Vietnam veteran cry, was at a traveling mock up version of the vietnam wall that came to our town on veterans day a few years back shortly before he passed away. So I definately would not call him or other like him a sissy.... I understand how he and you as well as other like you must have felt or the memories it must bring back being there and losing close friends you all served with. Again thanks for your service...
