New guy - wanted to say Hi

Post by Digger »

I've been lurking about for quite some time. I recently realized that I've begun to accumulate a small collection of leverguns, no doubt influenced by all my reading here. Thought it was about time I stopped lurking and just said hello.

Looking forward to learning a lot more and to treating my growing "lever-itis".

Welcome to the fire Digger. If you've been lurking awhile, you know that there are plenty of knowledgeable people here from whom you can find out about anything you want to know, and not just about leverguns. Fair warning though, there are plenty of enablers here too, so I hope you are ready for your addiction to grow. Tell/show us what you have, and we'll be happy to tell you what you need next!

Thanks for stepping up to the campfire ring, Digger. The more the merrier. I've found that by posting what I thought I knew, the contributing posts have allowed my knowledge about several subjects to grow exponentially. And it's mighty entertaining. Best wishes!

Howdy,
Be warned, though. There is a virus here that compels levergun owners to take their guns apart and do all sorts of things to them.

Image and Welcome.

What Nate said, but sometimes it exhibits as a compulsion to buy junkers and "restore" 'em! Possibly more expensive than buying NEW!

And yes... pictures are most appreciated.

welcome from the great white north. What have you collected so far? levergunners are not ever really satisfied until the have at least 1 of each.

Again, many thanks for the welcome. Yes, archaeology can be interesting, but I suspect its a lot like any job in many ways. Sometimes exciting, sometimes less so. At present, I have just three leverguns: a Marlin 336 XLR, Henry .22 standard, and a Marlin 1895 cowboy. A small collection, no doubt, but a good start.
