Today I made it to the range with my new 336 Marauder! I have always wanted one but never had a chance to buy one until this one came along. I didn't have a lot of ammo and had to shoot another gun too, so I didn't get to shoot it much, about 10 rounds
It had a lot more muzzle flip than I was expecting and did not like a clean barrel. After about five shots for familiarization and a down and left sight adjustment things were looking pretty good.
I fired my last two rounds just out of the "X" ring of the target about an inch apart at 50 yards. Not a bad start. I think we are going to get along just fine.
New Marlin!

Since the day I found out how well my Marlin 30as could shoot, I wanted a 16" 30-30 with the hope it would shoot as well.
After several months of not finding one (several gun shows and pawn shops) I decided to just cut down one of the Win94s.
Oh well, I'm still on the look out for a Marlin.
Congrats for finding one and pulling the trigger
