OT-50 cal muzzloder
I was at the range sunday and was shooting my hawkins 50 cal muzzloder with patch & round ball useing FFFg powder
I was shooting open sites at 50 yards first two were way off but then I got my group

Good shooting That will = Deer at 50yds and fill up the freezer.
I use my .54 Hawken rep when I do not fill tags on my reg hunts. Foothills Deer tag = 2 Mule or WT Does and I rather do that than bow hunt to fill the Freezer The musket is a way better tool than a $800.00 modern bow!
I like bow hunting but the .54 is way better and will make a clean kill at 100yrds even better than a 30/30 yep I just said that.
You cant beat that 1/2'' slug within reason as to range

Good shooting. My one brother in law has eyes that I could only wish for. 30 years ago We would shoot at his range in the backyard 120yds measured. He has a T/C Hawken. 80gr of ffg under a roundball, and he could keep all of them in the black offhand. them guns will shoot if We do our part.
