Synthetic M94BB stocks
I'm looking for synthetic stock and forend for a 94 BB with the straight grip. I'm having no luck finding them here in Canada, and can't find any online either. Can anyone help me out? I don't like the look of them at all on these guns, but I use my .444 when I go hiking in the mountains for bear protection. I found the gun in new unfired condition a few years ago,and I really hate scratching and denting the original wood when I'm just trudging around the mountains. Also figure I could save a bit of weight in the process. Of course, when I take it hunting the wood will go back on. I have the Big Bores in all calibers and figure I can just swap the synthetic stocks onto whichever rifle I'm taking if it's going to be in ugly conditions. The .375 has a thinner barrel though,so I'm not sure if that's a standard barrel and the others are fatter or if the thicker ones are standard and the .375 is unusual. If it's the former, I imagine it would be feasible to open up the barrel channel a bit to allow for the thicker barrels? Not sure about the front barrel bad, it might be too tight as well. Anyhow, I'm rambling, so if anyone knows where I can find these stocks I'd much appreciate the heads up.

Have you tried Elwood Epp in Ontario?

xxclaro,
May I make a comment? OK, I'm gonna make one ... or two.
Each time you remove and replace the stock and forearm you add a bit of wear to the screws and bands and mag tube, and run the risk of messing up the screw heads.
Rifles are made to be used. Hiking, hunting, shooting, that's what they are for.
Rather than switch the synthetic stock set around from rifle to rifle, why not pick the caliber you are the most comfortable with on your hikes and set up a dedicated rifle for it? Put it together how ever you want and then use it.
I never switch wood on any of mine. I use them as they are. Sure over the years they get dinged, dented, scratched, and the finish gets worn, but that's life. That's normal use.
Wearing them out by switching the stocks around every time you want to take them out of the safe is not normal use.
I realize they are yours, not mine, but this is just my way of thinking about it.

I understand what your saying, and actually agree. However, it took me a long time to find all 4 of these rifles with the straight grips and I'd rather try to keep them in as good a shape as possible.
I hope to be able to get a dedicated backpacking gun at some point, probably a lightweight 12ga of some sort, and then I can use the leverguns for dedicated hunting only. I don't mind some honest wear, but hate abusing a rifle I really like by stuffing it in a backpack and dragging it through the bush for days on end.
Right now the .444 is the most suitable gun I have for this purpose. It's short, somewhat lightweight, has iron sights and has the power to deal with the situations I need it for. Also, I have a Hammond Gamegetter for it, so a handful of .44 roundball and some .22 powershots and I can plink small game.
