OT - build a cheap PA for our Lodge??

Post by Tycer »

Our PA system grew legs. I have a Yamaha amp and Speakers I can donate. We need at least one, preferably three wireless mics.

I know stereos. I do not know how to choose and purchase quality inexpensive mics and mixers.

Any ideas?
Kind regards,
Tycer

Check out Carvin.com for an inexpensive mixer. They used to sell factory direct, with good service.
Have them send you a catalogue, as they will run some specials in there.

My sincere apology, but I saw the thread title and at once conjured up Possem Lodge and Red Green, and duct tape and stuff. Check Craigs List, and you can prolly find a cheap one some garage band is getting rid of. For your area......

I've got some Bogen building amps that's yours if you want them, but they. are. heavy. So shipping would be problematic from southwest Ohio. And they are also 70 volt systems, so if you don't know what that means they probably won't be for you.

They were pulled from closed down facilities.

Don't know how cheap is "cheap" to you, but the Carvin recommendation is a good one. Beringer also makes some good equipment that is relatively inexpensive. I am partial to Shure microphones, but you are talking $300+ apiece for their wireless mics.
