New scope

Post by gcs »

I'm in need of a new scope for my 243, Natchez has a deal on discontinued Brownings, which are Bushnell 3200 Elites.
The price is good but still almost twice as much as an equivalent Bushnell Banner, which I have on another rifle and I like.
Other then the "get a Leupold" advice, which is always good but probably not going to happen due to being on an austerity budget, lol , How do the two Bushnells compare?, is the 3200 worth the extra money?
Thanks.

How much is "the money" ? I just bought an excellent, but second-hand, Leupold 2-7x33 Compact Variable for $125.

I've also seen entire, scoped, brand X guns for sale, that were priced at or below the value of the gun - making the scope free, once the gun was bought, scope removed, and gun resold.

GCS, I own several Elite 3200s and they are great scopes. The price Natchez is offering the Browning clone at is very good. Trust me, at twice the price of a Banner, you're getting 3 times the scope! Another less expensive scope than a Leupold Rifleman or VXI (both very good scopes) and as nice to my eye is the Burris Fullfield II. A very nice, bright scope and it's available with a German type reticle 3P#4, if you like that. I found a 3-9x40 with that reticle for $146 (NIB) last month.

go to Cabelas (if you have one close) and buy their store brand scope. their scopes are made by Nikon and have an unconditional warranty.
