.32 Win. Spl. LeverEvolution

Post by SCGunNut »

Hornady is adding .32 Spl. to the Evolution line this year. Sure didn't expect that. Of course they're touting it as a 300 yard load. I still say if you expect long shots carry a long range gun but each to his own. I'll stick with those crappy old ballistically inferior RN/FP slugs for my .32's and other lever guns but it is interesting to see a modern load for this one. Listed as a 165 gr at 2410 fps.

My .32sp. usually gets fed cast but I will get some of the LE loads just to try out and for the brass although I have plenty of .32 brass.

I had velocities that high in my 26" 30-30 with the 160 gr Leverevolution. I don't think that makes it a 300 yd rifle for game.

I'm a dinosaur, or just an old Fogie. I'm going to continue feeding my old Winchesters the old fashioned noses.

--Not knocking "progress" or the new bullets here, just don't want to play the game. Or is it that I am content to die using round-nosed slugs?
