POLITICS - A Realization...

Post by ScottT »

I came to the realization today that there are five good men running in the Republican primaries. I don't agree with any of them 100% but I do think that they are all good men. No matter what, one of the five will be the Republican nominee.

So, I will start avoiding political arguments and posts about people who are irrelevant.

I'll watch the five and I will vote for one of them in the Texas Primary Election and I will support the nominee in the General Election.

I will also avoid posts about Masonic things. No point in arguing with folks who have their minds made up. Again, irrelevant things should be avoided.

In this way, I hope to concentrate on things that I can do something about and gain some peace. Peace be with each of you aslo.

I like your thinkin' Scott. It works for me 'cause I don't know much about any of them anyway, so, no ammo for arguments. :D

BTW, I found the Masonic posts of interest and not argumentative. Father and uncles were Masons but I don't know nearly enough about it. They were fine fellows all.

It did not get unfriendly, but there was some strange stuff posted.

I always end up feeling like I need to defend the fraternity. In reality, it really does not matter and I will no longer worry about it.

+1 Scott I agree. We have to make a choice.
I don't believe my first choice will make it to the finals, so I will support the one who the majority endorses because the alternatives are just too scary. (and I dont like kool-aid)

Well, I failed at that one. Some numbskull posted something stupid about how Masons are still denied communion in the Catholic church.

I do wish this forum had an ignore feature so I would not be tempted to read the posts of trolls.
