Question for Hog hunt and TX Safari Hunters
Is anyone from the Carrollton, TX area going on one of these hunts?
If so, would you be willing to bring my Blackbuck shoulder mount back to Carrollton for me? The mount is at Keep It Real Taxidermy in Castroville, which is near Hondo. However, Corey Burris, the owner, will likely bring it over to the lodge for me, as he is likely to be there helping Joe Riekers and picking up animals to mount for hunters.
If anyone is interested, please let me know, so that we can make arrangements.
There is a free breakfast or lunch at Pete's Cafe on Belt Line in it as a reward.

If no one volunteers, maybe I can swing by on a trip out of Laredo thru Dallas for you. I don't have a specific schedule right now, and someone else would probably be more flexible, but...

Thanks, Griff. Good of you to offer. Lets see if any of the hunters volunteers before you go scheduling that big, diesel thirsty rig out of your way.

I don't know what your schedule looks like, but I'm hunting down in Pleasanton during the 2nd week in March and driving back up to Allen.
If it's still there, it ain't much out of the way.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Gents;
I appreciate the offers.
May I suggest the following:
Since Ricky will be down there first, he and I will try to make arrangements and if that falls through, Mr. Wiedner and I will give it a try.
Ricky;
I will work with Corey and Joe to see that you get the mount and then we can do either of two things:
1. You drop it off at my house in Carrollton on your way home, or if that is out of your way,
2. I drive over to your place in Greenville to pick it up.
Either will work for me as I live in Carrollton but am in Farmersville at my daughters place at least once per week (unless I am off hunting).
Please advise if anyone has a better idea.

crs, sounds good, if you like we can meet in Farmersville. I have a Greenville address but Caddo Mills school district, big football rivals, I may have to keep low coming into town
. I spoke with Joe, E-mail, over the holidays and am going to try and help with getting some of the hunters to the airport on the 14th. I will probaby arrive home late the same day so if you want to set up something for the 15th that would be great.

Ricky;
OK, Feb 15 is a Friday and that sounds good to me. I will get with Joe and work out the best way to get the blackbuck mount to you and then send you a private message with those details and the address of our place in Farmersville.
That way we can meet at the farm and will not have to meet at a cafe or such and wonder which stranger is the one we are looking for.
Best of luck with the hunt and remember not to go and shoot a bigger blackbuck than mine!
