Is This Unusual

I was looking for a 30-30 trapper and saw this one. It has no markings of Winchester or the caliber on the gun. Maybe slipped through?

With the quality of workmanship that came out of factory at that time
it does not surprise me about the little screw up and leaving off the markings
but it could be a replacement barrel....

Interesting. If the BP's removed/changed to a non-Winchester type, and the carbine's presented w/o the like serial-numbered label Winchester box, would it still be a "Winchester", or would it be a "Winchester-type" carbine ? ...............................

Is This Unusual
I'd say yes. In all my years of living with the Win 94 I've never seen one fresh out of the box without the stampings. I haven't seen them all though so it might be legit.

It impresses me as being perhaps a clean up gun. Notice it's a CB safety model, phased out in 2004, then notice the non-blued extractor. I'm not sure when they quit bluing the extractors, but from the other guns I've seen I think it was after the CB was discontinued.

It's got nice wood on it though and it fits well. Better than my 85 Trapper at any rate.

If I were to purchase that Trapper the first thing I'd do is have a chamber cast done to verify and prove it's a 30-30.
