Folks are dribblin' in, bit by bit. 24 so far today for a total of 372 user names on the system. JimT and I are doing our best to OK y'all ASAP. AOL is our biggest problem, as far as folks getting in, receiving e-mail and such. probably 90% or better of folks who've e-mailed with problems are on AOL's system. The problems range from "I can't see the verification code." to "Where's my confirmation?" As of 6:15 CDT we're up to date on the confirmations. So if you've subscribed and still can't log in, drop us a note and we'll do our best to get you going. But first check your e-mail filters, spam filters, spam trappers or whatever AOL calls 'em and make sure the e-mail didn't get eaten by your ISP.
If you need help - we need to know your username. We can manually reset your password for you, or you can use the system to do so - IF you used a valid e-mail address and it actually allows you to receive e-mail.
Anyway, it's a pleasure to lend a hand. We're glad to help folks out. This is a great community. Y'all pull up a chair, pour a cup of java and have at the fellowshippin'.

My feelings exactly - but I've always been independent like when it comes to internet stuff. I HATE being fed stuff, I'd rather do my own news, etc gathering. But I'm a rebel. Some folks actually LIKE AOL. Go figure. Of course, some folks like NY City too...Mike D. wrote:If anything else is available to them they should dump AOL. I did 5 yrs ago and never looked back.
Kind of like the two guys talking.
Bob: "You know, I'm glad not everyone thinks the same as I do. If they did, every one would want my wife!"
John: "And if they thought like ME - no one would have her!"
As far as AOL goes - I'm on the "No one would have her." side of the issue...
WORDS OF WARNING
When trying to leave AOL (if they let ya lol) make sure ya get some kind of reference number for proof ya wanted out when they take the next three months service fees.
Three months straight I had the same conversation about ending their service, the next month....BINGO another $24.95 out of the checking account.
So I closed my debit account(big lesson learned there).
Three months later....WHAMMO $75.00 is suddenly unaccounted for in my savings account.
I asked the teller and she said it was sent to AOL
Another account closed.
If and when ya try to leave 'em just plz CYA
Jeeps
