Finally made it to the range today. Had the whole place to myself now that deer season is over and all the guys that wait to the last minute to sight in their guns are gone until next year.
Took the new Rossi 308 and My 95 7.62x 54 Russian Musket.
Took Factory Rem. 308, 150 Core-lokt and 180 gr sp W/ 39 Grs IMR-4064.
Both shot @ 2" at 50 yds. The 180s were about 3" low. Not bad considering the kinda crude rear sights. Now that I know it shoots I'm going to order a peep sight for it. The other thing I have to do is take down that cheek rest, it's way too high. Overall it's the most fun I've had shooting in qute a while. Especially for $150.00!

Little sucker sure has a bark! Gonig to make a neat little camp gun. Breaks down and fits in the pack on my trail bike just right. Left over AK sling and cartridge cuff fit well too. I had hoped to find a 357 like Ganjiro's but the choices were 7.62x39, 308, .223 and 243. I was going to get the 7.62 but the 308 is a youth model w/ a nice short stock. Take a little etting used to with my long arms but it's a blast. The thing I was most worried about was extraction of fired cases but they pulled right out.
I was shooting reloads in the Musket. 150 Gr Horn. .303 bullets and 43 Grs of 4895. @ 4" at 100 yds. shoots about 8" high. Most likely it was sighted in for 200 meters or more. Also had some S&B 180 Gr JSPs that shot about the same.
