Unusual Rimfire round - any idea what it is?

Post by AJMD429 »

It has a little logo of a hummingbird for the headstamp. Very quiet .22; maybe subsonic. Accurate from our leverguns.

Aquila Super Colibri per the Google search. Supposed to be super quiet.

Thanks! I may look out for some more; what little we had seemed pretty nice.

If they're instock you can get them from Midway, Natchez and Cabela's.

Doc,
Those babies are quiet! Great for shooting out the window at things that need to be shot without disturbing anyone, or for that matter, what your shooting at.-------------Sixgun

Primer only - no powder. They are quieter than my pellet gun!

We've posted about them many times here. Wonderful fun and useful, too!

Yeah, but THAT post didn't have PICTURES...!

Of course that's what I get for having loose rounds and no box they came with... (story of my life...)

Great on grackles feeding on my tomatoes, or my neighbors figs. Also use them on rats on the highlines at night. Very quiet out of my "Favorite." Occassionally get stuck in the barrel, not enough push from the primer. Order them from MidwayUSA if need be. Quieter then an air rifle.

Having loose rounds is better than not having any rounds at all! At least, that's what I keep telling the Mrs.!

I've never shot figs before, but I did shoot about 150 walnuts off a tree with an air rifle so they didn't keep falling on our car and denting it...
