Prayer Request
My Dad needs all the prayers he can get at the moment. He went in for an arterial catherization and the doc expected to find two blockages and instead found six blockages. Open heart surgery is being scheduled at the moment and will likely be this Friday and at the latest on Monday.
Thanks

Sounds like God was answering prayers early.
Better to have the Dr. find them than to have them find you.
Six bypasses is no big deal any more (relatively speaking).

Prayers up for you and yours. Like OI said, lucky to have found this early rather than being surprised later...

OI is right, somebody was already looking out for your dad. However, an extra good word couldn't hurt! Having lost my dad I wouldn't wish that on anyone if it is avoidable. I'll say a prayer for the rest of your family, and YOU, too.
Sincerely,

45Spades,
Sorry to hear about your dad. I will pray that our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, will see him through to complete restoration.

45 Spades;
Prayers have been said, and more will be said. I will lift up your father at tomorrow's Prayer Meeting.
I cannot feel your pain at a time like this. All I can know is my pain from when my father was terribly ill. May God's blessings be with you and yours during this time of your father's illness - and beyond.
Grace and Peace,
PPpastordon

45Spades glad to hear the surgery came out all right.
I had a quad bypass in June 2005. The bone in the chest was the worse of the pain after. Sneezing or coughing was not a good thing to do. Grab a pillow and squeeze it to the chest. I still have to grab my chest or I get a pain where one of the staples is. I still feel metal staples at times with certian movements. My ribs bothered for about 1 year. But after surgery I felt great. The doctors ripped up both legs looking for good viens to use, plus a connection to the mammal artery. All the antibiotics they pumped into me cured a sinus infection I had had for years that would not quite go away. Side benifit! One not overly bad after effect is my memory does not seem as sharp as it was before but that could be aging, or as I tell my wife, her relitives donated the blood, it is here familys fault and now I'm her cousin.
At least one other member of this forum has had hart sergury, Jeff Quinn. Maybe he can share some of his experience. If you have visited Gunblast.com he has not slowed down.
