Why Men do not Write Advice Columns.

"ASK MIKE"

Dear Mike,
I hope you can help me here. The other day, I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching the TV as usual. I hadn't driven more than a mile down the road when the engine conked out and the car shuddered to a halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help.

When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in our bedroom with the neighbors daughter. I am 32, my husband is 34, and the neighbor's daughter is 22. We have been married for ten years. When I confronted him, he broke down and admitted that they had been having an affair for the past six months. I told him to stop or I would leave him.

He was let go from his job six months ago and he says he has been feeling increasingly depressed and worthless. I love him very much, but ever since I gave him the ultimatum he has become increasingly distant. He won't go to counseling and I'm afraid I can't get through to him anymore..

Can you please help?

Sincerely,

Sheila

--------

Dear Sheila:

A car stalling after being driven a short distance can be caused by a variety of faults with the engine. Start by checking that there is no debris in the fuel line. If it is clear, check the vacuum pipes and hoses on the intake manifold and also check all grounding wires. If none of these approaches solves the problem, it could be that the fuel pump itself is faulty, causing low delivery pressure to the injectors.

I hope this helps,
Mike

I doubt it was the fuel line and am at a loss to explain why he thinks it is. :D

Retro, do you think it might be the electronic ignition module? Also, when did she last do the preventative maintenance?

I'm just glad this was a joke. If that were my wife, I'd be dead. She has a Concealed Handgun License and a Springfield XD9.

don't know why, but this kind of reminds me of a time when I came to the aid of a fellow male, who was married, with two kids.

He started hitting on Sheri, who was a really hot number. Sheri's friend got upset, and she said to me,"That Augie is incredible! Here he is making time with Sheri, and he's got a wife and two kids at home!"

I said, "So, ...what's your point?"

+1 Although Mrs. YK would make sure my death wasn't nearly so fast as what would happen from a gun shot!

TedH - it could obviously be solved with a Mr Fusion but where he is going he won't need roads.

The last thing I'd hear as I lay there in a puddle of my own blood is my wife saying..."How do you reload this darn thing..."

Well, I have got to tell you, I have been married for over thirty years, and after the first few months, I knew how bad a temper she could have, I lost all interest in teaching her how to shoot, and I havn't seen anything to change my mind, since, after thirty years.
