Price Check - Browning 1886 SRC

Post by Bronco »

Hey Guys,
Found a Browning 1886 carbine, 45/70, for $1050. What say ye, yea or nay on the price?

As long as the condition is there that sounds about right. I bought a very nice one several months back with the box for about $1000.00. Good Luck. 1886.

Price keeps going up on these. I think the going price around here for a NIB SRC is $1000-1100
Sincerely,

Get it. The last two auctions I watched got $11 - 1200'ish, NIB

And besides that, it's a great levergun. If you want an '86 to shoot and hunt with, that is the one. True to J.M. Browning's design (no safety stuff) and way lighter/handier than the rifles.

I paid $1100 last year for one in very good condition - though not NIB.

What are you waiting for?

Lovely rifles, in vg+ better condition the price is good, they are few and far between. Get it, you can always sell it for that or more, but you won't want to!

If it is in excellent or better condition, that is the low end of the going rate. Wish I'd kept mine, but it was not to be....

Howdy,
Want to thank everyone here for the help. The wallet was quivering and did not know wether to squeeze one off. Well after you feedback the wallet calmed down, I squeezed and BOOM, bought the Browning 1886 SRC. I am out here in Kaliforneea and it will be awhile before I take possession. Will get picks to you all when I get it. The start of the dream rifle for the thread of "your ultimate deep wood deer gun". I am loosing weight, wallet, due to this leveritis :D

Thanks Again

I think that is likely an excellent price for CA. Congratulations!
