Got that new 1895CB yesterday
The .45-70 cowboy from the raffle trade up I told you guys about last week.
What a thing of grace and beauty! Long and slender, like the legs on the prettiest woman you ever saw. I can't believe how nice it swings up and falls into position on my shoulder. The sights seem to align themselves. I never thought balance would be so nice on a rifle that long.
I don't know why Marlin doesn't put more of those slender forestocks on their rifles. This thing is begging to be shot and hunted with. My only regret is that I got it after hunting season was over. But better late than never. I hate to get all gooey, but it is simply pretty, pretty, pretty.
Now all I need is to buy the reloading dies and brass, etc. Gonna have to save up for another few weeks.
It's a great life.

I fondled one of those in the local gun store. It was exactly how you just described it. I couldn't come up with the money to buy it, oh well.k8bor wrote:The .45-70 cowboy from the raffle trade up I told you guys about last week.

Now you got it too late for this season, but you'll have lots of time to get acquainted with it before next season. At which time we'll all expect to see pics of your smiling face as you hold that rifle and the game animal you just took with it.

Yep you're a happy camper!
BTW, one learns so much more from these pics than simply about the rifles...
All I can say is that at least we didn't have to look at your toes or socks..
