I say fake. Two little buckets of water aren't enough to kill the friction on a slide that long. Plus, I think he accelerates too fast.

Just depends. My company sells a chemical that is used in a lot of products trying to reduce friction. The stuff is incredible. Most people are familiar with it because a lot of companies making razors put this into the strip on the head of the razor. I have seen test where it is added on a ppm basis to a pumper truck (fire truck), and water will go an extra 100 feet or more at the same pressure simply due to the lack of friction. If this had been applied to the strip - or better yet, to both the strip and his "wet-suit", all it would need is a little bit of water to get the friction reduction needed.

Still, I think this is photoshopped - making the landing in such a small area is just probably not possible...

Even if he fell straight down with nothing but air holding back his acceleration he wouldn't have gotten that kind of speed. Not to mention the ridiculous landing site.

That had to take a math geneus. Or they just tried something that weighed the same as him before they sent him down. Still cool......... 8)

There is a crash test dummy laying on the ground at the foot of the ramp. But the object flying through the air is moving into a tuck position while flying, so I think he's for real. Apparently Germans have Rednecks too...IE: "hey ya'll, hold my beer and watch this!"

The first half is real, but I think there was a pond there that was photo-shopped out. Even drunken rednecks would shy away from that one. Trust me, I used to be one. :D :D :D :D

I'll bet if you replicated the setup and did it with a bale of peat moss that even then (without the motion variables of a human in flight, with consistent weight, friction, etc.) you'd not get two impacts within a dozen yards of each other. Fake or incredibly lucky and stupid.

The video comes from Germany - another land of socialized medicine. Incredibly lucky or stupid goes hand in hand with not having to pay for your own medical care!

I think it's a fake. A very good fake, but a fake nonetheless.
