a Good Read- OT

I got my copy of "Backwoodsman Magazine" in the mail yesterday and there was a review of a book in it. The book is called "No Surrender" by Hiroo Onoda. Onoda was the last surviving Japanese solider to surrender from WWII, he surrendered in 1974. The book tells how he lived in the bush and stayed hidden. After I read the review I checked and my local library had it in stock. Goody, goody, no out of pocket expense on this one.

Thanks for the post. Just at the right time too, I have been trying to remember the name of the book/author.

Fascinating story isn't it?
