what to buy

Post by brucew44guns »

I've got a brand new Marlin 1894 CL in 25:20. and a 94 Marlin .44 mag, I like them both very much. Got a hankering to get both a .45 and .357 before I see 2009, just a goal of mine. And I have been interested in the Puma rifle somewhat. Am I getting off track in this?, maybe be better off sticking with Marlin, or should I branch out a little?. I like USA made stuff, hate to change, but yet want some new kind of iron too. Anyone with both rifles that has a strong opinion? Bruce

I HAVE 'EM ALL [ ALMOST...] AND I LIKE 'EM ALL. IN THE SAFES ARE LEVERGUNS FROM WINCHESTER, SAVAGE, MARLIN, BROWNING, UBERTI, CIMARRON UBERTI, AND ROSSI, AND TO A GUN THERE HAS NOT BEEN A CLINKER IN THE BUNCH. NOW PART OF THAT IS LUCK OF THE DRAW FOR SURE BUT PLEASE NOTE THAT HINKY GUNS DO NOT LAST LONG IN THE AMERICAN MARKET PLACE.

Nuthin wrong with branching out a little. Can't imagine you'd be disappointed with a 92. I've got Marlin, Winchester and Rossi levers and I like them all.

Bruce -

Variety is the spice of life. Nothing wrong with branching out - with lever-actions or other guns.

Now, as far as women, one if more than enough!!!

Wife walked away now, but I still mean it!!! :D
