My latest find

Post by 1886 »

Hello to everyone. Its been awhile. I bought a NIB Browning 1886 SRC .45-70 Nat. Forests Centennial Model 1891-1991, 1 of 2000. Did not know they made such a thing. Only a couple of slight storage marks on butt stock. Rifle is unfired and box is in fair/pretty good condition. No safety. I researched the rifle and could only find one at Cabelas. Any additional info that can be provided would be mucho appreciated. Thanks. 1886. Pictures to follow

There was one for sale on both Gunsamerica and Gunbroker. It was on there for quite some time. The first post I saw I think they wanted like $1,300. The next one it jumped to like $1,600. I don't recall what happened to it after that.

That is a beautiful gun. I wanted to get that one for my dad who worked for the Forest Service for over 25 years. Never combined the money in the pocket with an available gun. I've the basic SRC now and love it.
Sincerely,

Hobie
