Woo Hoo!! Lucky me!!

Post by jnyork »

Yours truely just drew for a Wyoming bull moose tag, area 6, Dubois area. Season opens Oct 1, which should give me plenty of time to anchor the critter and still get to Yuma late October. Getting a bull moose tag in Wyoming is pretty close to a once-in-a-lifetime thing due to our point system we use here, you get one point every year you apply, and after you draw you cant even apply for another five years, so this will no doubt be my only opportunity.

Congratulations, hope you can use a levergun on ol' bullwinkle.

I tried every year to draw one when we lived in Idaho, but never got it. It's the same kind of thing. Once you draw, you can't put in for five years or something. If you kill one, yer done for ever.

Dunno what gun I'll use. I have an 1886 Winchester .33WCF that has been in the family since about 1932 or so and is a native of the Dubois country. Have a 1950 Model 70 .30-06 to back it up with. 3 old geezers in search of a moose.
