Can't be a real ranch, I'm guessing it's one of those hobby farms. Definitely a reflection of the owner. What did Forrest say? "Stupid is as stupid does"
Behind every sucessful rancher is a wife with a job in town.

For what it's worth, that photo's been floating around the internet. I first saw it 6 or 7 years ago. Not recently thou.

They interviewed a guy in S. Florida who had just won 15 million in the lottery. When asked what he was going to do with the money he said he thought he'd buy himself a little cattle ranch and just run it till the money runs out.

I sent this to a friend of mine who works on tack in Richmond, TX. He says he's seen it before on his travels to Lubbock.

my guess too ------- 50 head, a couple of dogs and a "cute" name. I'd be embarrassed for my mother to come visit me with a sign like that

Here is my friend's reply" "To answer your question, the owner of the Ranch has lived there for many years, and he did catch a lot of flack for putting up the sign. The church goer's thought it was terrible to put such profanity in public display. He is definitely a character !" Google Deep Sh*t Cattle Company. They have several sites."

When my grandpa was raising cows starting in about 1915 he had a place near the Trinity River.....he just called it his place. As the years rolled on the Government wanted info about his place. It was named for tax purposes and so on...The Gentry Cattle Company.....but guess what ? He never did put a sign up (except the little ceramic blue steel Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association Sign). He never gave out his address either just the name of the county. He said big fancy signs equal "Big Hat No Cattle".

I live a little more than an hour from there. The sign has been there for several years, but was just noticed by the media and now "it's news".
