If money was no object and you could chose to buy any gun on the market, which one would you chose and why ?

I would buy my stainless Ruger Security-Six 4" back from whom-ever has it now. I wish I'd never sold it. If I had the money I'd try tracking it down and buying it back.
Sincerely,

Price no object, and "if" I could, assuming that the ammo was thrown in. Easy MaDuce. Imagine that pedestal mounted in the back of my Scrambler. What fun.

I truly wish I'd never sold ANY of my guns. I was raised cheap and always thought a fella never needed more toys than ya could actually use at one time :)

Anyway, in the real world, right now, I'd have to say I'd get a Shiloe all tricked up and pretty exactly the way I'd want it. As it is, without the recent scrambling for ammo and components, I had planned on putting a down payment on one and sending them something every month while they built it...Maybe next year if things settle down some.

Quigley Sharps rifle replica made in 45/110 (EMF replicas are either 45/70 or 45/120 it seems)

I love the way the rifle looks and i love the big .45 cal thunder boomers !

It would either have to be a Quigley Sharps from Shillo or a custom .45cal flint lock.

A mint Browning Sweet Sixteen made in 63 or 64, vent rib, modified choke, made in Belguim round knob, and like Hobie, I let this exact gun go four years ago and kick myself daily, ouch, ouch , ouch, like I said I kick myself daily.

Honestly, I can't narrow it down to simply one. If money were truly no object, I'd upgrade my storage and probably pick up a passel of rimfires and ammo to match.

I would get a Holland & Holland side-by-side sidelock 12 gauge, case colored with light engraving, and exhibition grade Turkish walnut.
Throw in a German Shorthair or an English Pointer, and I'd be set!

Hmmm.......I think I'd rather have won that from the NRA instead of the Krieghoff.

Can't really think of any just gotta haves, like Hobie, I have been looking to replace a 4" Ruger Security Six in stainless for some time. Mine got traded for a 4" model 19 Smith that I had wanted for a long time. Nice gun and I still have it, but miss the Ruger. I guess if money were no object, I wish I could have kept all the good guns I've had over the years that either was sold because I needed the cash or was traded for something else because I couldn't afford to buy outright.

Interesting how so many of us think alike.

The first thing that popped into my head before reading the posts:
The original Quigley Sharps from the movie!

Must be because Quigley treated his rifle like a lot of us would treat it -- with love and care --- plus the rifle played such a large part in that movie. I wouldnt use it for hand to hand combat though

John Wayne's 1892 big loop was used more as one uses a tool -- its always there, but never takes center stage. Same for those big Walker Colts (or are they Remington Navy models? IDK) that Clint uses in some of his movies

This nice Colt SAA belonged to Texas Ranger Frank Hamer. It was given to him by his brother Harrison Hamer also a Texas Ranger. A friend of mine has it in his collection. I don't think he is ready to sell it and I don't think I'm able to buy it.

If money was no object, i would pick up a matched pair of purdey shotguns, 20 gauge, proofed for modern levels with damacus barrels. and I would have them fitted for me. and I would spend all fall travelling to different bird venues to hunt dove, quail, pheasants, chukkar, ptarmagin, grouse etc

One of T.R.'s Winchester 95s that he took on safari.

Or, a '73 One of a Thousand.

Or, Sixgun's nickle plated model 27! :D

However,
I already own the two guns that mean more to me than any other.
My Grandfather's Custom '03 and my other Grandfather's Winchester '73!
