Another rookie reloading question.

Post by Dastook »

Do they still make Hercules 2400? My reloading manuals just say "2400" and don't specify Alliant or Hercules. I thought Hercules was bought by Alliant and they just put thier name on it.

It is now Alliant 2400 suposed to be the same stuff just a change in who makes it. I havent tried the newer Alliant stuff but heard it works just as good and may be a little cleaner.

The new stuff is close enough so as not to know the difference unless you load max loads. you may want to drop back a little . It is a good policy to start low and work up when any component is changed anyway.
Alliant is cleaner burning than Hercules was. I have had very good results with it.
