OT- But L.G.'s related: Midway IS FAST ... ZIP ..... Zoooom

Post by J Miller »

Wednesday I put in an order at Midway. A couple hundred Winchester 30 cal bullets, a Lyman front sight for my Marlin 1894 Cowboy - (the gold insert fell out of the first one after I straightened the crooked top part  ), an extension scope mount base for the MR7, a replacement Forster #2 collett, and one of those Optic Aid Sets. This set has an adjustable diopter for your shooting eye, a shade for the off side eye, a set of clear glasses and a hard case.
According to Midway if I got the order in prior to 4:00 I'd have the order by Friday. I missed the 4:00PM deadline.

I paid for UPS ground, and it got here today! Woweee.

Now I got bullets to load, sights to tinker with and maybe the next time I go to the range I might be able to hit the bloody target.

This will be the first time I've loaded my own ammo using Winchester jacketed rifle bullets. I've used their lead and jacketed pistol bullets before though.
I like the looks of these bullets. They put some of the Speers and Hornadys I've used to shame.
If they shoot half as good as they look I'll be very happy.

Terry,

Darn I missed that invite. I'll head right on over if the invite it still open.

I don't think I'd get in too much trouble with my wife, DRINKIN' AND EATIN' AND CAROUSING without telling her .......... would I????
